Top 5's

Svenn is a big fan of Jack Black, he is also a fan (though not to the same extent) of John Cusack, so naturally High Fidelity is up there in his pantheon of great movies. In High Fidelity the characters spend a good deal of time making "Top Five" lists. Svenn likes Top 5 lists; they are shorter then Top 10 lists but have more wiggle room than just a flat out "my favorite thing ever is" statement. And so, Svenn will be sharing some Top 5 lists (this won't be every week, just kinda as he thinks of them) and would love to know what your Top 5s are as well.

First up: Zones (in no particular order)

1. Dun Morogh: Not the whole thing, just the Dwarf/Gnome starting area (I think its called Coldridge Valley). This was the first place Svenn saw in-game and it still holds special memories of complete noobdom. Also, Christmas Time in Dun Morogh is a great Machinima Music Vid.

2. Un'goro Crater: The whole Jurassic Park type theme here really works for Svenn. The first time he went here he got stomped by one of the many random elite dinos wandering around, but that just adds to the excitement.

3. Felwood: Wha?!? Yes, the place was ridiculously long and involved a ton of running, but the demonic rune stones and felcloth drops were worth it back in the day. Not so much anymore, but Svenn still gets a little giddy when a rune drops and the box pops up saying "looting this item will bind it to you".

4. Nagrand: A sportsman's paradise. Sure some quests re enforce a negative pattern of hunting to excess reminiscent of the US West during the 1800s, but unlike the buffalo those crazy talbuk just keep coming back for more.

5. The Sholazar Basin: The lush Green of the basin is a welcome change to the rest of Northrend and its dreary, mostly snow covered landscapes. The fact that it is veritable gold mine for gatherers be you skinner, miner, or herbalist is an added bonus. (Svenn still maintains that it is the best "at level" Xp-per-hour zone in the entire game).

There you have it, what are your favorite zones? Have any other Top 5 topics? Let us know, leave a comment:)

Ooh! I love top 5 lists. Let's see:

In no particular order because that would require too much thinking, my top 5 zones are:
1.Westfall
2.Stormpeaks
3.even though it's big and kind of annoying, I like STV
4.Netherstorm is kind of cool
5.does Ironforge count?

Wow, that was harder than I thought it would be. I had my first two right away and then I got stuck. Kind of funny since it's a LONG way from Westfall to Stormpeaks. :)
